Lactation Services in Indiana

Virtual Lactation Services
That Preserve Your Sanity

Consider this the end of all that stressing you’ve been doing while hunched over your phone, asking for breastfeeding advice in Facebook parenting groups - with personalized, stress-free lactation services, you’ll finally get the peace of mind and action plan you need to feel good about how your baby’s eating.

If you’re looking for judgment-free help with feeding your baby, you just found it.

You’re probably reading this at 2 am, so I’ll get right to it:

As a registered dietitian and fellow parent, I’m here to help you through the ups, downs, and I-didn’t-even-know-this-was-a-thing’s of feeding your baby.

I can support you with everything from:

  • Preparing to breastfeed your baby before they’re even born
  • Getting off to a good start with breastfeeding
  • All things bottles, combo feeding, and formulas
  • Starting solids and weaning

here's what I can help with:

Breastfeeding

  • Establishing milk supply
  • Growth concerns/slow weight gain
  • Painful breastfeeding
  • Engorgement & mastitis
  • Weaning

Pumping

  • Finding your flange size & using your pump
  • Exclusive pumping
  • Combination feeding (pumping + nursing)
  • Returning to work
  • Weaning from the pump

Formula Feeding

  • When to try formula
  • How to choose a formula (or change it if needed)
  • Mixing and preparing formula
  • How much to feed your baby
  • Combination feeding (formula + breastmilk)

I take a judgment-free approach to lactation services, because you don’t need more bad advice.

You know - the old-school or just plain wrong advice that everyone wants to give you...like we all know breastfeeding should be added to your resume as a skill.

“Your nipples will toughen up over time - just stick it out!”

I’m not going to lie to you and say that breastfeeding is always comfortable - but it shouldn’t be painful. I take your symptoms seriously and help you troubleshoot each one, so you can stop dreading each nursing session.

“Formula means failure.”

The best feeding option is that one that works for your family - whether that’s all formula, no formula, or a combination. At the end of the day, I’m here to provide the information and support you need to feel good about the feeding choices you make for your family.

“Breastmilk doesn’t have nutritional value after one year, so you have to wean by then.”

If you can and want to nurse beyond a year, you should - it’s as simple as that. Only you and your baby can decide when the right time to close this chapter is - and I’ll help you navigate it all along the way.

“If triple feeding is working, why change it?”

Aside from the fact that it’s more than a full time job? Triple feeding is meant to be a temporary support - which means your plan should always include a more sustainable end goal.

because ultimately,

There’s no one “right” way to feed your baby, just the right way for your family - and I’m here to help you find it.

I believe that the best sources of support help you figure out what works for you and your family, not tell you what you “should” do. Whether that looks like exclusively nursing your baby, formula feeding, pumping, or a combination - I’m on your team and here to help you make it work.

Simply put, you deserve to feel good about how you feed your baby, which doesn’t include parent shaming and one-size-fits-all advice.

I’ll use a baby doll on my side of the camera to show you how to make the adjustments I recommend,

...and give you real-time feedback on how to do it with your baby in your arms - so you leave our appointment with the confidence that only comes from hands-on experience.

No more juggling a car seat, packing a diaper bag, and forgetting where you put your keys -

Just kind, straightforward support, without having to get up from your glider.

I want everything about receiving support with infant feeding to feel easy - which is why lactation services are provided through a virtual, HIPAA-secure video meeting platform.

Before we meet, I’ll ask you to record a few clips of your baby nursing and send them to me securely so I can help troubleshoot and guide you (plus, doing it this way means we don’t have to rely on the hope your baby wants to nurse during our appointment!).
